LISAA (L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués) has set up its first school in Delhi to encourage design education in an exciting growing country like India. Stephen Bertalli, Director of International Education of Lisaa, has expressed his long term commitment in the design education field in India. Plans include a roll out of 4 Lisaa Design Schools in India in the next 3 years. The French are leaders in Design, architecture and fashion with a highly evolved and sophisticated design sensibility. LISAA – India: Offers two course programs

Foundation year :

Allows each student to evaluate their aptitudes and choose an orientation for advanced training. At the end of this foundation year, each student will have acquired the necessary skills for entering a prestigious design school in India or abroad.

Advanced Programs :

Lisaa’s objective is to train top-notch creative talents perfectly adapted for the following disciplines :

• Fashion Design and Textile Design (2 years)
• Graphic Design, Illustration and Internet Design : Graphic Design Conception Degree (2 years + 1 optional post-graduate year in Paris, France)
• Interior Design and Product Design (3 years)

Faculty

LISAA will have an accomplished faculty of European , TOP Indian teachers and lecturers. The Dean Of academics is French. The teachers will all have international exposure. Specialised teachers for courses will come from France for the semesters as required. In addition through workshops and seminars students will be exposed to world class ideas and trends. Video Conference lectures with France will be an integral part of the course.

Awards

Lisaa India will award Diplomas for students completing 3 year courses in their respective design fields. Students will have the opportunity to present their end of year project in Paris & therefore be eligible for a Diploma issued by Lisaa France. Lisaa is recognized by the Ministry of Education & Culture in France. Lisaa India will be a private autonomous institute providing academic certification & professional Diplomas. LISAA will award degrees in India through a distance learning program (DLP) tie up with a University.

Internships & Placements

LISAA partners with over 200 brands, firms & design houses on creative projects some names include Phillipe Starck, LVMH, Hermes, Habitat and many path breaking architectural studios and fashion designers. Indian students will gain exposure and benefit from these partnerships. They will also be encouraged to apply for internships and placements at these design houses and companies in India and abroad.

On completion of the course, Lisaa will assure placements for all students in India and abroad. The quality of students graduating from Lisaa are sought after in the work place. Lisaa France has a 90% placement record even in the difficult economic climate in Europe. Lisaa students will be preferred for jobs & placements in international & multinational companies in India.

After Lisaa

After LISAA India, students can pursue higher studies anywhere in France or Europe. LISAA courses are recognized all over Europe. The number of Students studying in France from India has doubled over the last few years. Other students can pursue their careers in their respective design fields.

Eligibility :

Any student who has graduated in India in the senior Secondary School Examination, 10+2 model, is eligible for courses. Prospective students have to pass a LISAA Aptitude test and show examples of their interest and passion for the design fields through a portfolio of at least 10 items of work.

Fee Structure :

1. One time registration charges - INR 50,000/-

2. Annual fee - INR 2.25 lacs + service tax

Admission Exams LISAA 2012-2013 : Upcoming Dates - April 18th May 5th June 2nd July 7th The admissions exams will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) for the 2012 session. All students who are appearing for class 12th exam from any board, in any discipline, are eligible to apply. The Aptitude test will be followed by an interview and Portfolio review.

Multiple Questions Test (General Ability Test) : 45 minutes

Observation drawing Test : 1 Hour

Creativity Test: 1 Hour

Personal interview (with portfolio, if possible): 45 minutes
