In the most recent report published by Estyn, the office of HM Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales we were awarded top marks. The University’s School of Education is the only initial teacher training (ITT) provider in Wales to score a Grade One for caring for, guiding and supporting learners.

Our School of Art, Media and Design is one of the most successful Art Schools in the UK. We have some of the finest learning resources in the country – students placed Newport top in the UK for Learning Resources in all creative art and design subjects in the 2006 National Student Survey.
