1.Overview of the institution
University of Wollongong’s first taught class was in 1951. Today, they connect bright minds from across 141 countries. The university has 213 academic and research collaborations globally, and about 171 study abroad and student exchange contracts that benefit their students who wish to get a complete international education and exposure.
2.Location and facilities
The university has several campuses in Australia. Wollongong Campus is the main campus and is located on the outskirts of Wollongong, on the New South Wales coast. The other campuses are Shoalhaven Campus, Innovation Campus and Sydney Business School which is located in Sydney’s CBD area. Wollongong also has two international campuses in Dubai and South Korea.
The Innovation Campus or IC is a centre of Australian innovation and research.
Apart from the teaching and research buildings, the campuses have a number of restaurants and bars for students to relax at as well as indoor sports centres and gymnasium. For students who would like to get out of the indoors, the university also has an Olympic-standard swimming pool and other outdoor sports fields.
